Jerez de la Frontera - Sherry, Flamenco und andalusische Pferde

Jerez is also known as the home of Sherry and is located on the Costa de la Luz in Andalusia, south of Spain. Historically it had been the border (the „Frontera“) between the Christian and the Moorish empire and as a strategic point it has been the scenario of many historical battles. Jerez de la Frontera had also been part of the Taifa Emirate, whose cultural legacy is still one of the big treasures of the city. For those of you who love Music, there is a big Flamenco scene in town, waiting to be discovered. Another highlight are the andalusian horses, and even the royal riding academy is located here! The popular festivals, called “Ferias”, take place in February and September where you can discover the local traditions and gastronomy which will whisk you away with their magical mixture of sounds, smells and flavours. We have selected a choice of hotels and places to stay for you, in and around Jerez; no matter if you prefer a cosy bed and breakfast or a luxurious boutique hotel, we are sure you will enjoy an unforgettable stay in Jerez de la Frontera.
